So, after multiple attempts of planning to eat in Kapitolyo. We were able to finally eat there. I have seen many IG posts of my friends eating in Kapitolyo and particulary at Silantro Fil-Mex Cantina. So to start our Summer Foodtrip, I suggested to eat Silantro and have a Taste of Filipino and Mexican Fusion.
Kapitolyo Foodtrip: Silantro Fil-Mex Cantina
We had the popular Mexican food, Nachos as our appetizer it was served in a large portion that 2-3 persons can share it. You can see how the Nachos’ toppings were overloading. The beef was chewy and tastes more like a beef than the beef in the skewers that I had. I don’t find it very cheesy which I always look for Nachos, I prefer the ones I buy when watching a movie.
It was a 👍🏼 (thumbs up) for the chicken which I tasted first and I love it but a 👎🏼 (thumbs down) for the beef because it taste like a liver or intestine! It was kinda bitter. I liked the plating though because of the lemon, it looks cute 😊 The green thing there is like a thick juice of cucumber.
HOW TO GET THERE?
I will really suggest that as soon as you get to the East Capitol Drive, ride a tricycle because it’s really far, we even thought that we are already lost
