Here are some things to do in Tagaytay. Tagaytay is know for being one of the tourist spot in the PH that has a pretty low temperature where you can enjoy the scenery and activities like horseback riding, zipline, sky rider etc. Adding up to the list is the Sky Ranch Amusement park that was build last March 2013.
1. HORSEBACK RIDING
For me horseback riding was always the reason why I visit Tagaytay every now and then. Well there is absolutely no place in Manila where you can ride the horse at his back. There maybe some kalesas in Intramuros but its different though! Hahaha So since I was a Kid we visit Tagaytay atleast once a year but as we grow older there are times when we don’t visit tagaytay for a year, for two or for three.
You can enjoy Horsebackriding for P350 pesos/hr they have a one horse-one guide rule so its pretty safe. Like I have said I’ve tried horsebackriding while I was young, before the field was more flat and I usually ride the horse alone without any guide and it follows my directions but my horse yesterday just don’t follow me . But what’s good with having a guide is you can make your horse run really fast!!! Make sure to hold tight and enjoy the ride!
2. FOODTRIP: EAT THEIR FAMOUS BULALO + GOOD SHEPHERD’S UBE
Tagaytay is also known for its tasty and delicious bulalo! As soon as you walk out of the picnic groove and cross the street you will find this nipa huts where you can have a feel of the lifestyle of our ancestors.
I could say the bulalo was really good that we ordered again! Sorry crispy pata for not giving you much attention as much as we gave to bulalo.
Good Sheperd Convent’s brings their famous ube jam accessible and closer to you as they open in Tagaytay. Now we can try it without travelling for hours to reach Baguio.
We actually asked them if there’s a difference between the taste and they just answered that ube crops in Baguio tastes better but I didn’t notice the difference at all after trying the ube. Its my favorite Ube Jam afterall.
There are two zipline areas in Tagaytay one is in the Picnic Groove and the other is in Sky Ranch. I’ve tried the zipline in the Picnic Groove that marked my first ever Zipline in my life. It was my first brave act in my life I was still young back then and the fact that I have over protective parents I can’t do dangerous or scary stuffs that much so after ensuring my safety they let me try it. So same goes for my cousins who tried it today.
– P400 -back and forth + a free photo souvenir
-they also sell souvenir mug with your photo
– P500 -back and forth
-you have the option of buying the souvenir photo for P100
-I suggest you buy the photo if you only have your phone cameras with you since its so high your face won’t be seen at all
4. FUN RIDES @ SKY RANCH
Sky Ranch is a newly established amusement park in Tagaytay. Unlike most amusement park, in Sky Ranch you buy the tickets for the rides you want to ride. Which is good for those who have fear of heights or gets dizzy easy they will not be forced to ride because they paid for all the rides.
If you want to feel the cold breeze of Tagaytay I suggest you visit around Decmeber – February. I can guarantee that its still cold during February! We went there last february and it was very cold that my hands are shaking (I was wearing a sweater and shorts that time)
5. HAVE A PICNIC
There are few place in Manila where you can have a picnic without feeling hot at all so take advantage of Tagaytay’s low temperature and try the traditional way of family bonding. Have a seat, eat, chat, and play with your family or friends!
