Zoobic Safari is one of the tourist spot along with Ocean Adventure and the Beaches in Subic. Zoobic Safari is 25 hectare land, Adventure Park that became a habitat for many exotic animals. It also gives the opportunity for the guest to have a close encounter with these animals. So, Prepare yourselves and be brave to try these opportunities, like feeding or touching the scariest animals.
We left Manila at around 6:30 and arrived at Zoobic at 11am, It was very hot when we went out of the car that I just dragged my feet off the it. The humid weather makes me want to just stay inside the car with the aircon on but of course that will be such a waste.
We bought vouchers in Metrodeal that is for P248 per person instead of P545, Great deal! Right? Take note that this only includes the viewing and enounter with the exotic animals which is pretty much everything already. Lately, I’ve been really checking on Metrodeal for discount coupons before going anywhere because they just offer big discounts. After having our tickets and asked if we prefer to our car inside or ride their train but you have to pay for additional P50 for every person.
Upon starting our “field trip”, baby tigers that were on cage and one tiger that is lying down in an open area welcomed us. The baby tigers sleep with serenity while a tiger who looks angry seems to be waiting for us.
I was at doubt and scared about doing the photo op, at first but hey it took us hours to get here and I don’t get to experience something new and memorable like this one, so putting aside my fear I tried it!! I had experience coming close to a tiger before in Baluarte, Ilocos Norte but I was just standing frozen behind it and the tiger was chained up but here I was asked to hold the tiger’s milk bottle while he’s drinking! I was so worried, what if he drank all the milk and he’s still hungry – he might eat my hand!! And that’s the thought I have behind that scared and forced smile in that photo. It was scary at first but it was an achievement 😊
So while waiting for our Safari Tour Guide for our 2 hour guided trip we saw another scary photo op which Ian and Anri bravely tried. They took photos with a snake which I promised myself that I will never try or do in my life. Because I heard so many times how the care taker of the snakes betrayed them and people saying whatever you do it is still a snake.
We started our tour with seeing different kinds of birds that I rarely see anywhere not even in Manila Zoo.There was even a bird who’s just standing on the ground not moving at all despite the fact that it has all our attention and it don’t have any chain at all.
Then next were these lovely deers and the ever scary different kinds of snakes.
Next is the camels, I really thought I could only see them in deserts but thanks to Zoobic I get to see one.
Next is the Tiger Safari Ride which is the highlight of the trip
Luckily, I get to sit at the side while riding the zoo train. From what I’ve watched in VIXX’s variety show (S. korea) they fed the tigers on their own but unfortunately, In Zoobic Safari there’s a staff that went with us and he’s the one feeding the tiger 😞 (Another reason why I want to go to Jeju) The staff was sitting infront of me so I asked him to feed the tiger in my seat and he did! Thanks to him I had a selfie with the Tiger (That selfie though was in my phone but my phone is restored T.T) It was a short and “fearful” stay inside the Tiger’s Safari.
After the Safari ride, we went to a close encounter with caged tigers. Even though they are inside their cage their looks and gaze are still scaryyyy. I was so scared to go closer to their cage.
To have some rest from the continuous scary experience, we watched an ethnic dance from the aetas who lives in the Safari. They dance well and can climb trees easily! And just a tip be ready for their surprise~~
To end our zoobic trip, this is the part that I enjoyed the most is feeding the Crocodiles or should I say “teasing” the crocodiles. You can feed the crocodiles by buying a chicken part which they sell for P50 with P50 I think I have teased more than 10 crocodiles that tried to eat my chicken. You just have to be quick in pulling the rod so you can tease more of them.
- You can buy the chicken per train for P130. In our case we were 3 groups in one train so we divided it by 3.
- We only fed one tiger during our Safari ride
- There is a guided tour for 2 and a half hour
- Bring water, fans and maybe umbrellas because its really hot
- They sell ice cream inside to lessen the heat
